Increased Dosage

Hi, all- I have increased my dosage to 100mg about 3.5 weeks ago. I'm still having physical anxiety symptoms. Should these have resolved by now? Wondering if I'm a bad match, or if it needs more time. Feeling discouraged. Thanks for any help.

How long since you started the medication? It takes 6 to 8 weeks ideally for the full effect of the medication. I have been on 50 mg exactly 2 weeks now but last two days i have been having quite a bit of anxiety.

I am going to phone Mon and make another app. This is getting sickening.I have been going to him for a yr now.Hope he does something.

Hi Bethany, your looking at 6-8 weeks to get the full benefit of Sertraline at a dose of 50mg, you obviously need 100mg but it will still take the same amount of time.

You shouldn't expect symptoms to have resolved yet but you are on the right track and don't feel discouraged especially if your not having adverse side effects, don't feel discouraged just give it a bit more time. You've still plenty headroom as you can go up to 200mg if necessary.

I think you will be fine.

I am right where you are. I have been on 50 Mg. Of Zoloft for 20 years with great results. I started having breakthrough anxiety and panic and have been on 100mg for 28 days. I have noticed improvement in sleep and my energy level has gotten much better. Some times my mood lifts but only a little each day. Hoping to see more lifting of my mood in the next week or two. So hard waiting and not knowing if it will work for me again as before. Lynn
