I Have increased from 125 to 137.5 mg sertaline not doing good. i have increased depression and anxiety depression is higher is it normal for upping ure dose i feel horrible. 125 i was getting depressed and depressive thoughts again.

Every time I increased my dose of Sertraline I got horrendous Intrusive Thoughts and Increased Anxiety. I used Valium to counteract the anxiety, just until the new dose "settled." This increased anxiety happens to many when they "up" their dose. Hang in there. Get some anti-anxiety meds from your doctor asap, and ride it out. The side effects indicate that the Sertraline is working. God bless you.

I wish I had all the answers, but like so many others I have learned that taking Sertraline is a slow process, and when you increase your dose it takes time to see the results. Keep in close contact with your doctor about the side effects. For me, the depression takes a back seat to anxiety, because I take Sertraline for severe panic disorder. Just know that everyone on this site wants you to feel better, and we are sending you positive thoughts and prayers.
