I devoloped a very sudden onset of RA following a viral infection about a year ago. One thing I keep forgetting to ask my drs is whether there is a connection between periods and RA flares? I have a increase in pain in the couple of days before my period starts. Is this normal?

It's normal for you. I get constipated 2 days before my period. That's normal for me. BTW interesting symptoms like that would make a good case for you to see a good homeopath. Cos homeopathy takes all YOUR weird and wonderful symptoms into account... not a one size fits all approach like the drugs.
