ah thats so reassuring to hear, i got checked over yesterday for a throat or ear infection etc and nothing was found, it just seems strange that it all started when i increased the dose, im on it for post natal depression and anxiety disorder, everything aches all over i feel hot flushes and so dizzy and tired i hope it passes soon! i am so sensitive to medications etc i find the sertraline great when it settles really helps my anxiety, how long did you feel like that from your citalopram increase? thank you for your reply 😃

I would probably say I felt like it for about 2 weeks 3 at the most but I got it every time I increased.
I can say with almost certainty it's the increase.
it's good that you got other stuff checked out too. so you can rule them out.
dizziness, aches, hot flushes, fatigue are pretty common with sertraline and citalopram so try not to worry, easier said than done though isn't it? bless you.
a nice hot relaxing bath will help, some candles maybe while you are in their and have a bit of you time if you can. x
the fact that it settles is a good sign too.😊
how long ago did you increase?

Hang in there Chelsea. Defintely sounds like its due to the increase and should settle down. Try and keep yourself busy / distracted and it will shortly recede. Wishing you well and speedy recovery.

There are many potential side effects that it sometimes becomes difficult to distinguish between effects and anxiety. If you are unsure, defintely recommend seeing your GP. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I empathise with you. It's horrible. Tomorrow will come. Just try anything to distract yourself, music, excercise. Do you have any benzo's available e.g. Diazepam, Lorazepam. If you take one and it goes away then it is more than likely anxiety symptoms. 2 Decades on and i still get anxiety symptoms that i don't recognise which is absolutely ridicolous i know but it just goes to show how powerful your mind is and the tricks you play on yourself. If you don't have any Benzo's, i would suggest you request from your GP. They have helped me immensely during doseage changes in the past and i always have a low amount on repeat prescription for emergency use only. This will pass....i promise you....
