It sounds like a horrible few weeks for you, these things are given to us to help but sometimes I guess the path to getting some sort of level isint smooth,it sounds like you have given it a chance and if your exhausted being exhausted the doctor may change your medication, certain meds aren't for everyone but if your needing to take other significant medication to just get some sort of rest and that's not helping much then it's the doctor asap for you I'd say,you don't want to get into a cycle of taking one thing then another to cancel that one out like a catch 22. I hope you find the right thing to help you and your doctor does his best for you smile

Its even tougher when there are others that rely on you and I know how that feels so your trying not to get to a point where your of no use, always picking yourself up and pushing through another day for others when you just want to stop and wake up better,i hope your doctor has some good ideas and they work smile

hi rachel, maybe you could switch to citalopram instead of sertraline.  citalopram is a popular and effective ssri for many people

I don't think ssri's are working for me i've been on 2 different ones i know that u have to give it time to work though, just can't deal with the insomnia and morbid thoughts i feel physically and mentally drained x
