Yes ! I just dealt w it. After stitches came off and I got steri strips I started applying aquafor and that kept it from being dry and the healing ointment made it heal fast! My incision site looks good! I put it on daily and new gauze and rewrap with ace bandage and put sock and boot back on. Now that I can shower without boot it is wonderful! I'm 5 weeks post op. Hang In there !

I had itching and the dr. said to take some benadryl.  which helped but other then that they told me not to itch. (funny right) I had my cast on for 4 weeks. then to a boot.  Maybe putting ice pack behind the knee?

Maybe they will put you in a boot on the 9th?  they had told me they were going to keep me in cast but when I got my stitches out they put me in the boot.

    Good luck!

Itch. Omg. Itch and burn. Hives dry skin. Medication allergies. I ended up on antihistamines and then used old soft scourer with goats milk cream. To get dead skin off and relieve itch. The first month was hell. 17 weeks on and looking at going back to work in 2 weeks.
