Indapamide

I've been taking indapamide for many years but recently noticed that I'm having to urinate more often. It feels almost like I have a urinary track infection but when doctor checked no infection. Has anyone had similar problems?

I don't really understand your question. I took Lasix for years and it always made me have to pee. Do you mean besides being a diuretic and making you pee, it started making you pee even more than normal?

Hi Jody, yes, I'm peeing much more often but my main issue is that it feels more like a urinary track infection. When dr checked, no urinary track infection.  I've noticed that It does not happen everyday so now I'm thinking it may not be the indapamide after all.  I'm going to watch it more closely to see what I maybe doing differently on those days. Thanks for your input.

I had this too and worked out that my bladder was getting smaller.  I found bladder training cured this.  Make sure you wait until the last second before emptying your bladder and it took me three weeks to restretch my bladder..  Drink plenty of water.  My age is 73.

Thank you, Sylvia. I do not always drink enough water. My age is 61. I'll work on training my bladder.
