Indigestion and air bubble feeling in throat after swallowing saliva.

Hi there,

I'm a 22 yr old male and for 4-5 years I've suffered with acid reflux thats usually a burning feeling with regurgitation.

I was sent for an endoscopy two years ago but the specialist at the hospital at the time stated i was too young and it would be a waste of time. He just said to make sure my diet was as good as possible and to manage stress.

I'm on Omeprazole daily and that usually does the trick in keeping my Acid at bay. If i don't take it though the acid burning sensation can become quite intense.

However, for 2 weeks now every time i swallow my saliva it's like an air bubble goes down my esophagus and back up it again and causes me to feel like i need to burp but i struggle to muster one leaving a horrible pressure like feeling in my throat and chest. My stomach is also quite bloated and feels full.

The feeling is multiplied when it's a drink or food. After eating i feel like the foods just all sitting in my throat and the need to burp is immense.

I'm starting to go off food now as the feeling of trapped air/Pressure from swallowing is worse than feeling hungry.

Has anyone ever had anything similar and have any suggestions as to how to ease it. I've been referred for another Endoscopy but the wait time is ridiculously long at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

Lewis.
