Indwelling catheter painful when I walk

Hi, I was fitted with an indwelling catheter with a flip flow tap a few weeks ago as I was retaining a lot of urine. It is working well and it feels good not to be carrying 2 litres of fluid around all the time. However when I walk, which I do each day for my cardiovascular health, i cant seem to find a comfortable position for the catheter and it constantly makes the tip of my penis sore. I've tried tucking the catheter inside my underwear and also strapping it to my leg but with both methods it still rubs. Doc gave me some anaesthetising gel to syringe into my urethra which has helped a little but it is still mighty uncomfortable. Any suggestions please?

It seems that you have an infection. Or it could just be the shape of your penis and its sensitivity to whatever touches it. Tips of penises are sensitive. Tissue may help if possible.
