Infected Toe?

Yesterday,

our grandson called me to the backyard. I was not thinking and decided to outside bare feet.

a piece of chicken wire fence was sitting under the gate. I opened the gate and the wire from the chicken wire fence ripped the inside of the corner of my toe nail.

I went inside cleaned and disinfected the wound, stopped the bleeding and applied Neoporine. This morning I notice the wound oozing, and a red streak (line). Is painful but not to bad, somewhat swollen.

The wound is small, I guess a small wound can get infected? I did place a call to my Doctors office. I have been on antibiotics (on my 4th day) to prevent bronchitis.

    Hi it does look swollen so you should probably send your doctor the same picture you have posted on line, the fact you are on antibiotics already want help as they are for different bacteria unless he has put you on a broad spectrum one.

    It could just be that the impact has caused the swelling but better to be safe than sorry
