So I was told mucous in stool was normal post op. However I am getting green sticky mucus on stool and also seeping out at times. Has anyone else experienced this post Haemorrhoidectomy? Trying to get into my GP

I had similar issues and believe its normal. I wore a small pad for weeks after my surgery due to this. Still check with your doctor, though.

i never had thatin factafter my surgry a few hours later i had too poop and boy i tell you it hurt but it came out slow and soft. as each week went by it got better,and when i needed too clean myself off i had the shower do it and felt great no problems at all

ive been wearing a pad since surgery its def slowing but i still take a few sitz baths a day to clean up
are you having temperatures ? do u feel unwell ?

Just really tired and more pain in that region compared to what I as feeling - I was feeling good but now its very tender down there again. Itchy and sore. No fever going back to bed. GP is booked out so waiting for a cancellation. otherwise I'll have to go to a local medical centre instead. The surgeon doesn't have rooms and hasn't returned my calls? I'm guessing he's on leave

everythings crossed its not infected after all you have been thro you dont need this set back

ive been more sore these past few days and super itchy too almost feel like i have haems back (which would be my worst night mare) i keep convincing myself its still healing and swollen but i still have two stitches still in place

That is a fear of mine too...I don't want them back! I found my stitches pulling before they came away and that caused similar discomfort to a haemorrhoid.
I do have an external skin tag now which must be from my external hemorrhoid. I returned to University yesterday and today i made it through both days however didn't drink enough water today so guzzling lots now!

I think the antibiotics are helping less mucous. I had to take my mum to the Dr today I asked the nurse for my results- she couldn't give them to me as the Dr who sent the sample off is away and hadn't finalized them. kind of annoying!! It hurts passing BMs I was at a stage before where it had lessened and I was happy. But now very sore after sting and burning sensation. Even after bath or sitz painful. Trying to soldier on as best I can back on pain killers so I'll have to up my stool softners. I hope you've had a good week and ur healing well

im back at work full time now, still struggling with bm in the sense of completely emptying if i can i have a great day if i cant i have to go (but def not constipated) i have to go several time which makes me sore swollen then i get lots of mucous
the consultant is happy though i still have 3 fissures trying to heal

Hey Sam 🙂 I'm on the mend! I feel you I'm happy if I get BM over and done with before I leave the house or at least when I'm finally home for the day. yes feel like at times I haven't emptied completely! I'm normally going once to twice a day. swelling at times can still be an issue-
I feel like my bum hole is stretching! 🙁 almost back to normal self hopefully by end of this month. Fissures are a pain I've had one before and i was overseas in Bali.
Wishing you all the best at work! I hope by December we will both be 100 percent healed and happy! Feel like my life has revolved around my bottom wayy too much!

Hi Mary, I was on antibiotics after the surgery I took the complete course. still waiting to see a Dr I'm so tired going to nap and then head to a walk in clinic. if it is infected need antibiotics asap

Grumpy and tired ! finally got everything sorted ended up in public emergency dept until 2am. About to start antibiotics I had to provide a stool sample for analysis. I'll get the results on friday. How are you feeling?

ah well lets hope everything ok! im feeling better , had a good day yesterday pain wise even managed to go to the shop. bm still all over the place and lots of mucus but think things going in right direction

Glad you got out can be tense first few times you leave the house. it does get easier like everyone says takes time. But definitely feel like fast forwarding especially at BM times. I hope you don't have to go again today! sending hugs
