Infections

Since last year i have a kidney infection, chest infection, stomach bugs and i think i have another kidney infection at present. Both chest and kidney infections are something I have never had in my life before. My worry is that i am starting to get infections which i never before. My consultant did find it strange that i hadn't had any infections whilst being neutropenic. I am due to go back to the hospital in July. Can this be the start of these infections for me?

    Hi iaaab. If I knew what neutropenic is, I could better understand your problems. I myself have polycethemia Vera. Right now my blood is too low, which is not usual. It is usually too high. This has made me anemic, and I can catch colds and such if I can't take my blood back up to normal. Please explain what neutropenic is. Thanks,
