Inflammation in nose, eyelids when speaking. Anyone heard of it?

Hey guys,
After years of research and seeing doctors who couldn't isolate my illness, I've narrowed my problem down to non-allergic rhinitis (I think). Basically, I wake up in the morning fine. But if I start talking for a while (usually 20 minutes), I feel tightness in my throat. My eyelids become red and inflammed, the inside of my nose gets inflammed and I feel like my nostrils are smaller. I also sometimes feel pain in my nasopharynx area.
I feel tired if I keep talking, and start yawning and wanting to sleep.
The time it takes for this feeling to occur depends on the weather. Rainy days are worse. It's also worse in dry conditions like with air conditioning.
I still haven't heard of anyone else who has this probem. It's affected my life for 5 years now. I'd really like help. I've done nasal rinsing, which doesn't make a noticable difference. I can also wear a surgical mask which helps quite a bit, but I don't want to spend my life wearing that!
I'd appreciate your suggestions on things I should try. Thanks!

Hello Derek, I too suffer with Rhinitis and whatever the weather is like in England makes not the slightest bit of difference to mine. I don't get swollen eyelids, but cn get ithy eyes. Bloked nose and sometimes very mucusy without a cold. A horrible problem without much relief from medication. I use Flixonase Nasal Steroid Spray morning and night and take a antihistamine daily. When it gets bad from making too much mucus due to allergies I get ETD (Eustachian Tube Dyfunction) which is the worse thing ever, as there is nothing that can unblock ears, unlikes our noses.
If this continues get referred by your doctor and see an ENT specialist.

I woke up yesterday with a swollen left eye. Sinus pretty bad too, so put it down to that. Love this hot weather we're having in England at the moment, but the pollen is so bad and affects me terribly
