Infliximab treatment

Anyone have experience of the treatment infliximab? Just recently stopped methotrexate due to side effects and infliximab might be the next option. Have to have an ultrasound scan to check for any signs of infection first. Have a stricture and fistula. Anyone been on this treatment?

I had about 10 weeks of Infliximab and felt very good on it but just as I was going to start a regular pattern I became allergic so sadly could not continue.  Good luck.  By the way it is a very censure treatment.

Thanks for your reply sheila70301.  I've read mixed reviews of this treatment so not sure how it will go.  Did you have any other medication alongside the infliximab or just that on it's own?

    Hi Tracey

I have been on Infliximab for 4 years best thing I ever did as tablets were not helping. Apart from the odd headache I have had no problems apart from when they tried to extend the time between infusions from 8 weeks to 10 I got very niggly and bad tempered so they put me back to 8 weeks.

Hope all goes well for you

Thank you, it's good to hear some positives as all I've read so far has been quite negative and scary.
