I am done having kids so I talked to the doctor about having tubes done.. she said they remove them now.... Also my sister has the gene for breast cancer and is runs in myfamily.. so I am goin to genetics doc to get tests done to see if I have the gene.. if I do they are going to remove my ovaries also...  Was wondering if anyone else has been threw this.... Doc said it would take 3 days to recovery and that's it . I be been doing research and seen it will send me into surgical menopause . Also some sites say yes you'll get you period and some say no! So which is true? And how do I deal with the menopause at the age of 30

HI I too have had both ovaries and tubes removed and went into surgical menopause, I can honestly say it was awful, because of family history my doctor refused to give me HRT, I struggled on for several months until I was unable to cope and had no quality of life I returned to my gynaecologist who put me straight on to HRT,it's taken a while to get the dose right but now I feel great.I would make sure you have all the information before surgery and know what your options are. I took at least for weeks after surgery before I felt physically ok.Best of luck.
