ingrowing eyelash

I had an ingrowing eyelash removed at my opticians. I went as i thought my eye was dry so was causing me to feel like had something in it. This was about two months ago. The eye has started to feel irritated again, tough I can't see an obvious ingrowing eyelash when looking closly in the mirror and pulling my eyelid up. Could it he hard to see? Anyone had any experience with ingrowing eyelashes?

Hi Mark do you have any other symptoms?

    Are you in the UK?

Yes I am in the uk.  Hugely fluctuating vision in the eye also

The fluctuating vision could be because of the dry eyes.  In fact, the dry eyes could cause the 'gritty' feeling in  your eyes.

Have you tried an ocular lubricant. aka artificial tears?  You can buy them in any Pharmacy & don't necessarily need to buy the brand names, the generic ones are just as good.

Thank you I though it was down to dry eyes but an optician said he couldn't see any dry spots in my eyes when he put dye in to test for dry eyes

Had varying success with drops. One thing to note is if I drink alchol it makes my vision realy poor in that eye for a good few days after

A song says, 'Drink to me only with thine eyes' but evidently not in your case.

Hi Mark, just going back to the alcohol, do you drink enough water following drinking alcohol?  Alcohol dehydrates the body including the eyes.

I don't think I do no. It realy messes my vision up in that eye. It has a small prescription in it between -0.5 and -0.75. Think it maybe at -0.75 now. My other eye has no refractive eye. I am thinking about possibly trying contacts in that eye again. I had had lasek 5 years ago to correct my vision I was -5.5 in each eye

I would go to an ophthalmologist at an eye hospital for a thorough eye examination.
