Ingrown hairs or something more?

I have had bumps in my vagina most of my teenage life. When i was 17 i went to the clinic to get them checked out because i've have been treated for chlamydia before. When i went, the doctor told me that the bumps on my vagina were from ingrown hairs. He said that because my vaginal hair is thick and coily, it stays underneath the skin and makes those bumps and its nothing to worry about. I've seen other girls with bumps similar to mine with no STDs. I just wanted to post my vagina and see if anyone can give me any info or opinions before i get it checked out again. I am overweight, and i use Nair to shave. image

    It just looks like ingrown hairs. Usually coily pubic hair is more prone to ingrowns/boils. I get waxed down there so I haven't really had that problem, but I do shave my underarms and sometimes it will look just like how yours does.

      thank you so much! I've been wanting to get a wax, but i was afaid of judgement in case it was something serious. Thank you for the response
