Inguinal hernia

I am getting stomach pains a bit like constipation for several days at a time. I have a small hernia which doesnt normally give me any pain. Does anyone else get these types of pain with a hernia, or is it likely to be something else?

    i have a double inguinal hernia and never get stomach pains, fyi. 

    that wouldn't necessarily rule  out a connection though. anything's possible.

    Hi Simon - is your hernia in the groin or stomach? Aggree that pain can be quite bad - up to about an 8!

    I do.  Not all of the time but it can become very painful.  My hernia is quite low down and sometimes goes quite hard and must block some of my bowel.  I've been told that it's my bowel that sticks out of it.  When the pain ends I fart an awful lot haha but when it's there I can feel my stomach goin hard.
