Hi Dan, where is the pain, is it along the scar, when it is being pressed by clothing etc, when you sit down against the healing site of the operation or all the time along the scar site or internally? On a scale of 1 - 10, how bad is the pain.

Are your 'bits' black and blue or has that stage come and gone?

For me i'd say the hours after the op when the numbness wore off and the next day were the worse. Then a very slow sliding scale downwards over the next weeks or so. It was gradual though and very uncomfortable.

I think everyone has a different story for healing times for this operation. I had two weeks off work and was still very tender when I went back to work. Made worse by sitting at a desk most of the day which seemed to aggravate the healing area. For me it was 3 months before I felt like I was on the path to normality and even then, another 3 months before I started to sometimes forget i'd had the op as I had periods without a twinge or sitting wrong to annoy the scar site. A year and I was just about 100% again, it goes quick. No issues at all in year 2. Fingers crossed it will stay that way. Bit worried about the other side now and being very careful about that especially when I have a cough as i'm sure that is how I got the 1st one.

Good to hear you got better. My pain is not surface pain. It is deeper and from the scar down into my groin and then down into my nugget. Nice to know that others had a slow heal also. Thanks for responding!
