Inguinial laparoscopic hernia repair

Hi everyone
i could do with any help or advice as I am drawing a blank with my GP. I had a right hand side laparoscopic inguinial hernia repair 10 weeks ago now and haven't been right from day one. From the first day after surgery I had an infection in the cannula vein which caused my vein to harden and go red. Several trips back to the hospital, I was told that it was normal and to go home. Finally my local GP said it was infected and prescribed myself with antibiotics, so that was problem one fixed.
I then had 4 weeks of normality and even started doing light exercise as in walking between 2 and 5 miles and even light weights, but nothing more than 10 kilos.
But 7 weeks in I attempted a small run in the gym on the treadmill which lasted no more than 5 minutes, but the day after I was bent over in agony feeling sick and dizzy and constant stomach cramping. So another trip to GP and more antibiotics as my lymph nodes were swollen in my groin. Theses antibiotics didn't do anything and now as soon as I even move in the wrong way am laid up in bed for 2 days feeling exhausted, nausea, dizzy and cramping. I have a appointment to see GP but typical nhs style its in 2 months and I can't keep going on like this, any help is greatly appreciated regards adam

I suggest you do a three day liquids/veg juice fast although you could add some bone broth (including good old chicken soup). That might just knock your system back into balance. If it does, reintroduce small portions of simple foods and preferrably not ones likely to ferment in the gut, very gradually.
Take one clove raw garlic crushed and swallowed in water first thing in the morning for five days.
You poor person, for all the help it is I will pray for you, Adam because I know how frightening this is. Do take painkillers, although no aspirin and try as best you can to relax and let the world happen around you. let your body resolve this trauma, quietly.

i will try the liquid/ veg diet and just sit quietly for a few days and see what happens. Would you recommended getting another course of antibiotics from GP ? Or do you think I could of dislocated hernia mesh or even purferated the bowel ? As I have a 101 thoughts going round my mind

Is anything visibly swollen or hot to the touch on the skin?
If either is the case, get yourself to A and E and explain that you could not get a GP appointment and you are terrified you have a serious post op complication going on here. You could dial that NHS direct number and get them to refer you or get back onto the surgery and tell them that you believe you could be seriously ill from some complication or other and need to see a GP like now.
Do it, Adam. Your life is more important than any procedures.

So sorry to hear about your terrible problems after your op; I have been wondering wherer to go for the op. or not (have to get biabetes under control first) but hearing your news I am now considering not having this done, as it seams that if I can control things(weight ect I may find the sypmtons of the hernia will get better without the operation). I do at least have time to decied, because my suriogen wont do the op untill she feels I have become ready for it.
Can you ask to go back and she your surgion? maybe you can get more help that way, and dont forget you can choose wihice hospital to go to. I just went for the first avaible app; and got my local private hospital, I know its not good, (us and them) but I have to say the treatment there was very quick and friendly- they dont know who is private or N.H.S. and I didnt feel that it was a catle market.
I hope you can get more help and start to feel better soon.

i have tried every method possible to get back to see a surgeon within a 40 mile radius and that was the earliest one which happens to be with original surgeon, this is all because it's gone past their 4 week window to return and in the surgeons eyes it's fully repaired after 4 weeks
I know many people who have had this and haven't had any problems after so I wouldn't let it out you off at all, saying that if you can live happily with your hernia and once you have things sorted it doesn't affect your day to day then live with it until the day comes you have to have it done as many people have hernias without even knowing it.
