Injury after replacement

I am 13 weeks into my thr recovery. I am a teacher and was run into by a preschool student right on the incision. Now things don't feel right. Should I get an X-ray? It feels like something moved and there seems to be clicking and some minor pain and aching.

Don't like the clicking. You could make an appt. It usually takes a while to get seen,if it's better you could always cancel. Better to error on the side of safety . Kids can't help but be kids, but mending bones are still sensitive .

    hi ashley,

warm welcome to this forum of hippies ...

I agree with Msky ... make an appointment and ask to be seen as soon as possible - just to make sure that there is no damage ... maybe some whack to the system and all is well otherwise ...

My girlfriend's new boisterous dog jumped against my hip the other day - no harm done, just sensitive ...

let us know how you are getting on otherwise -

    big warm hug

Morning! Most definitely get checked. 23 weeks is still soon after surgery. Man that child must of been running fast! Hope it's nothing serious. Come back and let us know what you find out. Wishing you all the best!! Hugs 🤗. LD

So sorry for you. I agree with the others, get it checked. I have a small 4 year old in my class who had a habit of grabbing my thigh and squeezing it.. Luckily no harm done. Hope yours is ok.

I think you would be struggling to walk if any major damage was done, however the clicking doesn't sound good if it was not there before - I would get an xray to put your mind at rest. You don't even need to go to your consultant, just pop into A&E and they will check it for you. You will feel reassured to know for certain. So sorry this happened to you - must be tough being back in such a physical and lively environment at 13 weeks - half term rest will soon be here. Good luck with your check.
