Inner ear infection?

About 10 days ago I started feeling unwell, I left it a few days then called my local GP, he said it was an inner ear infection and told me to see how it is in a week, then call again.

Today I called up again and another doctor took the call, basically repeated what was said last time and told me these things can last for weeks.

I'm a little bit worried because I'm starting to feel worse and I havn't actually been seen by a doctor, but don't want to keep pestering them.

Symptons are:

I'm really tired all the time, I've not had the strength to do any type of exercise since this whole thing started.

Dizzyness and feeling feint, it's been quite bad sometimes.

Frequent headaches, sometimes requiring painkillers.

Nausea, generally not too bad, more a "something feel wrongs", rather then "I'm going to throw up."

General loss of concentration, but I suppose that could be more down to the headaches.

Generally things aren't too bad in the morning, other then being tired as I've not been sleeping too well, but the symptons normally ramp up towards lunch.

I just want to know if I'm really worrying over nothing. redface

this sounds like more than an ear infection ring your doctors again and make sure you get an appointment to go in and see a doctor- your not pestering them its there job! if you cant get the help you need try a walk in centre or ring 111. have you had any likely exposure to ticks ? just a thought i started like this 3 years ago and after seeing many specialist inc. ENT turns out to be lymes disease look at the lymes forum its worth seeing if you recognise the symptoms

Little bit of an update, saw a doctor on friday and she mentioned something about low blood pressure while standing.

Going in to do a blood/urine test in the week, so things are moving forward. wink
