Inquiry regarding my healed metacarpal fracture

I fractured the 2nd metacarpal punching a wall, and didn't have medical coverage that was good enough to get surgery done. After healing, the only problem I have is a limited range of motion when it comes to bending my finger backward toward the back of my hand. I know this isn't a huge deal, but my question is will I be able to in the future get surgery done to restore the full range of motion in my finger?

How long ago did this happen?     You may be stuck with limited motion but only an orthopaedic specialist will be able to tell you if an operation at a later date can fix the problem.   Injuries like this can attract arthritis in later life,so you would be wise to get an opinion at some time.

This happened early June. My hand has been out of the cast for a few weeks.

Have just realised you have also posted a queston about a finger joint problem. could this be a dislocation?  Have you had any further injury to your hand?.
