Insane Bowel Problems, please help!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I've never posted in a forum before and buckle up because this one is a bit disgusting, but I want opinions and to see if anyone else has been through the same thing.

So this all started back in August 2020 when I suddenly got severely ill. I was driving on the motorway and had to pull over because I felt hot flushes and lightheaded so had to pull over. When I did I projectile vomited for 10 minutes straight followed by severe diarrhoea in the petrol station toilets (worst place to be when you feel ill). My boyfriend drove me to a and e and after waiting 5 hours they told me it was just gastroenteritis that I probably picked up at a BBQ I was at. They did no check on me at all and sent me home. I was in bed knocked off my feet for 3 weeks and to cut a long story short I did get better to a point where I could go to work etc again, but I've never felt the same since. 5 months on I've had severe diarrhoea for 8 days with large amounts of mucus and mucus looking blood in my stool. It kind of looks like a ball of mucus strawberry jam.

I think it's important to note that in the last 5 months I have also struggled with my mental health, having to start antidepressants then switch brands abs now finally the last 3 days not taking anything because my stomach problems and headaches are unbearable.

my headaches also started last august. They feel tight and I have sharp pains also. I've never had headaches this bad before and they haven't seem to have gone.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has been through something like this and what possible suggestions are.

After 5 months of having a doctor tell me it's just my anxiety causing everything I've finally seen a doctor today to get stool samples done. image
