Insect bite with blisters

Hello

I'm prone to insect bites this time of year. I've recently had a few with no issues. About 4 days ago I got bitten on my ankle. It was really itchy. I've resisted scratching it/them. Last night it was so painful all night. My whole ankle hurt.!! It's actually on a tattoo so it's difficult to see. I took a picture today with my flash on, and I can see blisters.

Does anyone know what would cause it..and what I can do to ease the pain?

I'm in the UK

Thankyou image

Thats a very nasty reaction to an insect bite . If the pain is severe you should see your doctor or go to A/E. If your ankle swells and becomes red then you Must see a doctor quickly. In the mean time use ice packs on it, or a pack of frozen peas and take Ibuprofen.

Thankyou for your reply. I ended up ringing my dr as the pain was bad again that night and when I stood up Friday morning. She has given me antibiotics. I have Been applying ice packs aswell, which helps alot. It seems to be settling down today, so hopefully it's getting better.
