Insecure about body

So I've had this rash for a while, and was concerned it might be herpes. My doctor looked at it and said it looks more like a fungal infection, but didn't want to test me for HSV, because he said most everyone comes or positive, whether they've had an outbreak or not. He prescribed topical creams, which seem to be working, but now I'm getting small bumps that look like whiteheads. I just feel insecure about it, because I have a new partner, and although I'm declared clean from STIs, I feel embarrassed about having to convince them it's not an STI, and I'm afraid they will change their mind about me.image

It doesn’t appear to be herpes. More like heat or irritation to the hairs!

Your doctor is right though 80% of people have herpes and never know! This is how most of us got it!

no,you are using a wrong number, there are 8 types of herpes,we are not talking about cmv here. so it's not 80 % (where did you get this number?)

based on the UN health org the number is not more than 11% for hsv 2.

Here’s Joesph back again with his useful info! Why must you start drama on people’s post who are obviously scared and looking for help. I didn’t say this was herpes of any kind. Im also very much aware of the strain of herpes.

Around 80% of people who have genital HSV1 or HSV2 do not have symptoms of it or the typical symptoms of it. I’m not saying 80% of the world has it! If you want to be more fussy they CDC estimates 87.4% of 14-49yr olds are completely unaware of their diagnosis.

Going by American statistics we could say 1 in 8.
