Inserting Vitamin C for BV

I need help. I cam across this blog and read Vitamin C works well when inserted in the Vagina for BV. Well I've had BV on and off for the past two years, but about 8 months ago, I wasn't able to get rid of it AT ALL. I've taken two types of oral antibiotics as well as topical. I tried baths with Apple Cider Vinegar and Tea Tree as well as Lavendar (because both have antiseptic, antibacterial) NOTHING has worked.
I started inserting Vitamin C 3x daily for 2 days and switched down to 2x. I started Sunday evening with two, Monday, I inserted 3x and Tuesday I inserted 2x. Today, Wednesday, I inserted one and when I went to the bathroom, I had brown/red spotting, almost like I'm about to get my period, but I just had it last week so I know it is my menstrual.
Also, currently taken Calcium Bentonite Clay orally as directed: One teaspoon daily, as I heard it helps with BV. I've using it for 6 days and haven't noticed any difference. I am taking probiotics as well as multivitamin with 1000mg Vitamin C orally. All these products taken orally started about 5 days ago. Every other blog, says it only takes a few days to notice difference, but nothing for me.
I need help! Should I stop the vitamin C inserts or what should I do?

Are you sure that it's BV? Have you tried any medication for a yeast infection? I was dealing with what I thought was BV for about 2-3 years. Doctors constantly told me it was bv I tried but every antibiotic they gave me and nothing worked. I tried the home remedies and they only gave me temporary relief. I was starting to get fed up and researched my symptoms more in depth. Yeast infection showed up and an ad at bottom of the article showed a monistat test swab kit that would give a better result of what orb really was. I went and bought the kit from walmart for $14.95 and swabbed twice in my vagina and the yellow tip still remained yellow which indicated that it was just a yeast infection. If the tip would've turned vlue or green then that meant there was something more serious going on. I then went to rite aid and bout monistat 3 day kit and after the first day I noticed a complete difference. No more thick discharge, no more smell, no more irritation, NOTHING! Please try that's that and if it will make things clearer for you. I wish I stopped listening to my doctor a long time ago but now I am happy by happy and took my day of my monistat last night. I feel like myself again and it feels so good! But can also let me know how it worked for you if you'd like. Don't let it ruin you you got this!

TorTor,
Here's my story. Last year everytime I would "smell" down there, I would hurry and get a monistat treatment and it would take care of it, once it became more frequent I decide to go to planned parenthood and every time I went they said nothing was wrong and it smelled fine. BUT IT DID NOT SMELL fine. I know my smell and that wasn't it. I went to 3 doctors last year and did a swab test myself at intermountain healthcare clinic and still "nothing" was wrong. I thought it was a yeast infection. I was about to give up when I decided to go to a community clinic, a PA Tony (amazing individual) ran a few tests and looked at the sample he took from my vagina under a microscope. he said he found a lot of bacterial then he said that is where the smell is coming from. We tried antibiotics orally, nothing. Topical gel, nothing. Another type of antibiotics, nothing. I then decided to look for another options. My searches changed from cures to BV to Chronic BV cures. It's where I stumbled upon Vitamin C inserts. I went to buy them along with other vitamins. I was going to stop the inserting the vitamin yesterday, but I noticed the smell was very faint and my hopes were once again raised. I am only inserting one Vitamin C daily today and for another 2 days.
The smell is almost completely gone. I don't want to jump the gun and assume I am cured, but we will see. So far so good. But I am in disbelieve still. I will keep posting on my results. Hopefully it helps other women, because I know how embarrasing it can be.

I am glad that the smell is going away for you i hope it stays away this time. I've still been successful with the monistat so I'm hoping everything is just fine and i wqas lucky enough to only have a yeast infection. I was tired of going to the doctor all the time and since none of them ever knew what to really tell me about BV it just made it more aggravating. i would hate to even go out in public and walk past people because i thought they'd be able to smell me.

I'm glad it's been successfull for you! I think we all know how embarrasing it can be. It's kinda been coming back, but I just insert another vitamin C and it takes it away asap! I am so happy I found this site. I thought I had yeast infections too, maybe it was bv all along and my bv got worse over years because I would treat it with monistat yeast treatments. Who knows. I just wonder if it will go away forever?
