      Thanks

I find when I sit down anxiety gets worse as I am only seeing how I feel

I also get up at 4 because I can no longer lay in bed.  You could try to imagine you are in a peaceful quiet place you like.  This sometimes works for me and I manage to go back to sleep.

I used to when young I was irrational in going to bed so my sleep period was bad.

As I got older I managed to go to bed and get up at the same time and I found I was more human because of it

I awake at 3/4 to go to the toilet every night and just go back to sleep, your body is like a good quality clock it remembers sleep times and certain habits. If you sleep at different times the body will forget your sleep patern

HI , what I do I meditate before go to bed .

And then leave calming music on all night long .

I nottice sleep pattern it's a bit better with that .

Try  essential oils , particularly lavender , may help also !

Going to bed the same time would help too , and get up same time !

Hopfully this will help you ! 🌛🌝🌜

Yes, my main problem is waking up too early. This morning, bad dreams woke me up and put me in a bad state of mind. 2 months ago, I was sleeping very poorly (I believe because I was on Wellbutrin) and it was making me crazier. When I wake up too early or in the middle of the night, I sometimes try using some of the breathing apps on my phone, then a meditation app, and if that doesn't work, I may read, get up and journal, and/or watch old Twilight Zone (the last of which doesn't help but seems appropriate).

      Hi

Are you tired at all the next day or does the anxiety play up after a lack of sleep

Often, it alternates. I'll be sleepy one moment and anxious the next (I don't really get panic attacks, just generalized anxiety). But there's often this sense of bleakness and despair over things once I'm sufficiently sleep-deprived. I haven't touched coffee in over two months, either.
