Insomnia, forgetfulness, endless symptoms

here I am, back again with more symptoms... I feel like this peri crap is never ending battle. lately I forget things, one minute I could be thinking about something or talking then next minute I forget what I was thinking or talking about. it's really given me panic attacks, I also have trouble sleeping through the night. Not to mention my ongoing headaches, head pressure, ear problems and irregular periods. how much more do we have to deal with, so fed up with this peri madness. I am 40 but feel lot older than that. What are your worst daily symptoms? anything you take that helps apart from HRT?

hi ampat1 it's never ending isn't it? my symptoms are insomnia, brain fog, indigestion, nausea, anxiety, weakness, flushes, spots!! , zero sex drive, bowels all over the shop and a tiredness that's hard to describe...I hate everyone except my fella and kids lol ..talking helps ( to those that understand) I found magnesium supplements helped ( solgar high strength) with sleep and primrose oil helped dryness down there but I've resorted to HRT after a year of this as couldn't cope with work and under threat of sickness issues at work. we will survive this x

Glad I'm not the only one-- I was beginning to think I"m losing it. I used to be able to multitask BUT not at all now. One minute I'm thinking about doing something, then go do it and I forget what it was!! It's scary because it's happening more and more. And also I've been waking up at 4 each day--- my minds racing and I do everything to get back to sleep which doesn't happen till hours later.. Heavy periods lead me to an ultrasound with a very thick lining and possibly a huge polyp which requires more testing. Yes I'm tired of dealing with all this which is making me 'flaky'. I'm due for one of those head pressure headaches soon--- those are not fun and I think the weather plays a part in it.

hi ampat. Right now the insomnia is kicking my butt. I take Vitamin E for breast pain but I am thinking about trying the primrose as well. I need to try the magnesium oil for sleep again. I think it did work but i stopped taking it because I had lost so much weight that i was having a hard time keeping my blood pressure up and it was making that worse.

The insomnia is brutal. I have Ativan which I take three nights a week....to ensure that I at least get some sleep. The doctor does not want me taking it for sleep, but it is the only thing that seems to somewhat work. With a glass or two of wine.
The mental symptoms are the worse. Anxiety and depression (new one for me) are wreaking havoc. The "what ifs" are horrible. Just switched to Effexor, after 19 years of Paxil (which has officially "pooped out").It is early in the transition....hoping it will help. I feel little zest for life, and mornings are the worst. Must force myself "up and out".....which is not easy, with limited sleep.
When will this end! I am 52 and this started three years ago. Still getting periods on a regular basis. Very, very heavy. So sad.....
