Insomnia, painful muscles and twitching.

Hi ladies. A year has passed since my initial symptoms and I have since developed three new alarming symptoms. Firstly, I have insomnia. I only manage to sleep for 2 hrs at night and even though I feel tired all day, I just can't seem to get enough 😴. Secondly, I'm experiencing sharp pains on top of my feet and it feels like I'm carrying a heavy object on my feet. Thirdly, and the most distressing symptom is the twitching in my hands, face and upper arms. I can only describe it as a sudden jolt which I have no control over and I have never read about anyone experiencing twitches in their hands on this site. My health anxiety is at an all time high as I struggle to cope and feel terrified about these symptoms.
Does anyone else experience these problems? Should I see my doctor even though he seems clueless about peri menopausal symptoms.
Thank you ladies. 💐🌺🌷

It may just be because you are exhausted I alway feel twitchy and clumsy when I'm tired. I also find myself stuttering when I'm under pressure at work almost like my brain is working slower than usual when I'm tired. Would you be able to see a different doctor to get another opinion and help stop you feeling so anxious about these symptoms ?

Hi Tracy. Thanks for the speedy response. I have seen three different docs in the last year but I'm determined to seek help next week from a different doc.
Thanks and kind regards. 💐

I suffered from insomnia, it stopped when I took up Pilates and changed my diet. Give it a try.

Dear faz
I suffer the insomnia on and off, I get sharp pains but more in my left hand, as for twitching that was more in my eyes and I did get really stiff painful muscles (esp in mornings) but got better after starting a multi vit for over 50's, also I had terrible anxietyand health anxiety but again the vitamins seem to have helped x

Yes yes yes...I have the twtiching in my hands. I made the mistake of googling it and read its the early stmptoms of parkinson's so I freaked out. I have the twitching all over my body and face though. I've had this symptom though since early this year, maybe late last year. I take really good vitamins which have minimized the severity of it but didnt fully take it away. My anxiety comes and goes in waves but not as baf as last year.

Hi Kim. Yes, I suffered with a ringing sound for weeks but thankfully it has now disappeared. Hopefully, you won't suffer with this symptom for too long and if it worries you then go and see your doctor. All the best Kim.
