Intense gas pain, bloating & loss of appetite

Oh boy another fun day trying to determine what’s going on with me.  So, I just had a week of intense menopause symptoms...whoozy, flushing, dizzy, headache, tingling in extremities, dry mouth, pain in my ovaries (felt like I was ovulating) & now today very bad pain (feels like trapped gas) where my gallbladder is - I have read that this can happen during Menopause, but I am really bloated & gassy & it seems to be happening more & more as my hormones get more & more depleted...has anybody experienced this? If so, any recommendations? I am 5 years postmenopausal & it seems like my symptoms are ramping up instead of going away...I get it why woman lose it!

I had the dizziness, was gassy and pain in ovaries. All went away. I still get the occasional bout of pain where my ovaries are but found that was trapped gas! Hang in there it gets better!

I actually feel like I’m losing it

I’m ten years in this mess

I’ve been in other forums with my story

But I’ve got gerd really bad again!!!

I get breathless after eating my throat burns and feels like it’s closing up

I’ve got a heavy chest feeling

Constantly feel like I’m not getting enough air

That’s just the tip of the iceberg

I had a chest X-ray two weeks ago all clear

Upper endoscopy all ok I’ve had three

I’ve now been told I have a fatty liver and doctor can find no reason for it

I eat healthy don’t drink or smoke!!!!

    I’m at my wits end

The tabs they gave me for reflux don’t help

I feel like every morning I’m not going to wake up

Anyone else had this I just feel like I’m fighting to breath but I’m breathing if that makes any sense at all ☹️

Hi Michelle I understand with that throat business my burn too and dry as ever ...on morning it's worst because when your a sleep your stomach is empty makes it 10 times worst, I would love endoscopy but I'm scared with the procedure going down my throat and gagging..I get bit breathless like you you can't breath too, it's hormones messing around I heard they touch every cell in the body always remember menopause is not and illness and that you are ok it plays with our brains telling us we are not well when we are, with out the support on here and few friends i have don't know where I would be, I'm coming to end of peri this month God knows what a awaits me.

Hi Michelle - I had several bouts with the shortness of breath thing...I was convinced it was my anxiety causing a panic attack...it was odd cuz it always seemed to kick in around dinner time.  I had read that Menopause messes with your allergies (I have had bad allergies in the past & diagnosed with allergy induced asthma 15 years ago).  So I went to an allergist & it turns out my breathing was really compromised because my histamine level was so high & I got put on Symbicort (inhaler & Flonase nasal spray) I haven’t had another episode of shortness of breath.  Also the allergist told me when your cortisol levels dip (mine must of in the evenings) your histamines ramp up - also, had a skin test & I am 3x more allergic to stuff than I was 15 years ago...I am sure this is menopause related...next I am being tested for food allergies.  I am just sharing cuz that has been my experience.  I just think this whole Menopause thing touches every part of our bodies - also, I suffered horribly with GERD in the past (3 urgent Care visits) & was given prescription RX’s  which really don’t solve the problem.  Try eating papaya (fresh) or papaya enzymes, pineapple, ginger, sourdough bread or buttermilk & eat any fermented food you like...I eat sauerkraut. & Apple cider vinegar - Read up on the controversy about antacids...our bodies need more acid to combat GERD instead of less -

Hi all - just cut & pasted this for all you suffering to catch your breath - found it online -

For some women, however, hormone changes during pregnancy may actually improve asthma symptoms. Menopause. Dropping hormone levels associated with menopause may make asthma symptoms worse or cause some women to develop asthma.Jun 3, 2017
