Intense itching on my back.

Whenever I bend over, I experience intense itching over all my back, has anyone any idea what the cause might be?

could be from having dry skin. have you tried applying a good moisturizer to your back?
also, when you shower, are you properly cleaning your back? that could also be something. check your back to see if you have any type of rash. one last thing is, it could be something that has irritated your skin back there.

I do moisturise couple of times a day, and my other half assures me that my back is squeaky clean, with no visible sign of spots or any rash. I cannot recall anything that would have caused any irritation.

I use anti fungal soap at times, as well as a normal brand at times, but none of them seem to make any difference.
I think I'll have to make an appointment with my doc, hoping I'll get referred to a dermatologist.

no prob. just keep in mind that they may or may not be able to diagnose bc you have no actual bumps or anything. but id still give it a try. your Vit. D levels could be low. as well. have your doctor check your blood, just in case your low or high in something. best wishes
