and can not believe this going to
be my life. I am a registered nurse. I went to a urologist who ordered the terrible OAB Meds
I am in America and on Medicare
The only med they would cover is Ditropan it is the worse it dries u out. Your mouth lips tongue the roof of my mouth. I did my own research. I have to pay a urologist 500 dollars for a Cystoscopy. I am American. I read lack of hormones can causeĀ
OAB. I had old Estrogen and Progesterone and it stopped the urgency and frequency. 95%.
You are very young but in men I read low tester one can also be the cause. Ask your dr to check
your hormones . They cured me

Hi Karen.
I'm actually female pretty close to your age. I responded to Robert who sounds way too young and heathy for this.
My OB/Gyn put me on a small amount of Premarin (estrogen) 2xweek. Haven't noticed any improvement.
Praying for the interstim device to do the trick.
Will keep in touch.

Has this continued to work for you? They never tried this with me and I am only 49 but I never had menepause, chemo stopped by periods and dissolved my ovaries and that was 6 years ago. I have had the Interstim put in and initially it was giving me three hours of not peeing which was like a mini vacation seeing I was going like 24-30 times a day. this all started overnight for me so I really think there is something really wrongm but I have been to 2 urologists, a kidney specialist, an infectious disease specialist because I had an esbl uti infection that landed me in the hospital for a weelk and I am just getting over my second esbl infecrion. How soon did the estrigen therapy start to work? Is it a pill or something you have to insert? very curious to see if this would help me. I am also in the US. Karol

It's a minor surgical option that involves a small implanted device that can be thought of as a pacemaker for the bladder. Fingers crossed!
