Intermittent Left testical pain

Hi folks
Can anybody help?
For weeks I’ve been getting on and off left testical pain. GP thought that it was epididmitis and gave me an antibiotic which didn’t work. The pain comes and goes and can last for a few minutes at a time. It is quite tender to touch but then so is the right one. I thought it had gone away as I didn’t have any symptoms last week but now it’s back again with a vengeance. I am seeing my GP on Monday. Paracetamol doesn’t work. Ibrufen doesn’t work. I did think I noticed a pattern that if I was slightly constipated the pain came back but nope. I have been taking milk of magnesia since Wednesday and despite pooping lots the pain is still coming and going.
Any ideas what it is and how to get it go away or make it manageable until Monday?
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris. I suffered from epididymitis for 9 months. The following did help, finally clearing it -
- Trimethoprim - after ciprofloxacin & doxycycline didn't work
- Candida diet - no sugar, yeast, dairy, caffeine, alcohol, cheese, chocolate, biscuits etc
- No hot baths - heat made it worse
- Frequent release of sperm
- Supportive underwear
- Mild exercise
Good luck!

Hi Chris -
Problem started in ball of testicles. Fairly mild, but vert variable. Just an ache. Went on for about 2 months. Then moved to epididymis. Very mild to moderate pain. Sometimes one side, then the other, often both, but usually right side. Did seem worse in morning (when bowel was full). Used painkillers OK. Pain severe for about 5 mins on 4 occasions - twice after hot baths, twice after eating yeast-laden foods. Went on for about 4 months. Continuous cipro didn't really help. After 6 months, switched to trim & regime previously mentioned. Improved gradually over 3 months, then disappeared. Hope that helps. Good luck!
