Internal haemorrhoid not clearing up

Wondering how long internal haemorrhoids usually take to clear up? About 5 weeks ago I had a bad bout of constipation (which I am prone to) and when I eventually did manage to go there was a bit of bright red blood in the pan and toilet paper. The bleeding has continued ever since, always bright red and usually drips out after using the toilet. My stomach has never really been normal since; I’d go 3 or 4 times a day but very small amounts which can only be aggravating things more. Sometimes it seemed to just be wind and blood. My rectum was rarely sore, more just weird feeling sometimes and felt like I hadn’t emptied my bowels and sort of gurgling sometimes. I got some OTC cream and suppositories which I used for about 10 days and there was no improvement. In the meantime I tried to improve my diet, increase my fibre including taking supplements, drink more water, do more exercise. My diet and water intake wasn’t bad in the first place, I’ve always tried to be relatively healthy but I’ve made a concerted effort since. Still not better. So I contacted my doctor and got an exam and she confirmed i did have a ‘small haemorrhoid’ and prescribed me a different ointment and laxido to try and get my bowel movements normalised. She also mentioned I may have IBS and encouraged me to look into triggers. She said if I’m not better in a couple of weeks come back and they’ll investigate further. So for the last week I’ve been using the ointment as instructed and the laxido, but I’m still not seeing much improvement. The bleeding is still happening if I feel I need a BM and nothing comes out other than a bit of wind, it doesn’t seem to be as bad but it’s not gone away. I seem to have a bowel movement every third day now, and whilst they’re solid and soft it’s not normal, i get the sudden desperate urge to go and it’s still difficult to pass. There’s less blood when I have a BM though.
So wondering if anyone has had similar issues? And if so did it eventually clear up with at home treatments and how long it took? Will eventually having regular normal bowel movements help?
I really don’t see how I could need more fibre, I’m taking 25-30g a day, drinking minimum 2 litres of water, walking/jogging and doing yoga. Whenever I do go to the toilet I put my feet on a step and try not to strain but the bleeding still happens. It’s frustrating when everything I read/get told is to do something I already do and it’s clearly not helping. I’ve also read a few articles suggesting if you are constipated and taking laxido that a lot of fibre could actually make things worse?

i have had exactly same symptoms, i had it couple years back where it cleared up by itself, but this is not healing and the doctor couldnt feel any internal piles and put it down to a fissure which i know it wasnt, ive had blood tests and poo samples all come back clear other than the blood in stool. im booked in for a colonoscopy this wednesday, im abit nervous and scared incase it is anything else but we will see, they dont seem too concerned as all tests are normal.

Hi, I have had small amounts of blood for about 3 months now. It isn't after every bm but every now and then. Got checked by a nurse who said I had internal hemm but then when it didn't go away along with all sorts of other gut issues. I now also have mucus with bm which is really annoying and stressing me out. This all started with tailbone pain and even though my gut issues have gotten a it better I still have some tailbone pain( much less than before) and maybe a spot of blood now and then. Have had internal thrombosed hemmoroid before after giving birth and I didn't have this pain in tailbone. This time Dr said I have inflammation and although nurse said she seen the hemmoroid the next dr appt the dr said she could not see it.
And I also was going 2 to 3 times a day which I had never done before.
Am going to ask to see a specialist and maybe get a colonoscopy ( been putting that off) All blood tests and stool tests came back ok.
Hope you feel better soon as I know how stressful this all is.
