Internal Shaking and blurred vision

Hi everyone,

for about 4 weeks now i have had these constant internal shaking/tremors throughout my whole body. I have also had blurred vision on and off every day with the shaking. In the last 2 weeks i have started to get pain and stiffness in my hands and jaw, and a tingling feeling in my mouth. In the last week i have started to get minor headaches. Im really worried its a serious neurological issue. i had a brain MRI back in janurary for a seperate issue and nothing showed up and have had blood tests with no significant results...my doctor has also told me he doubts its something like MS but i think i want to do another brain mri and some nerve tests. going to the doctor and waiting for tests is such a process though i hate it. Any suggestions or similar stories????

The first question is, aside from the symptoms, do you have a generalized anxiety? do you tend to worry a lot, have negative fearful thoughts, Shortness of breath, racing heart? Of course you don’t have to have those to have anxiety but those are most common.

when I was in my 20s I had all of your symptoms plus many more. I had internalized anxiety for years before that. And yes I thought I had MS but I didn’t. Basically, whenever we internalize anxiety, stress, fear, it usually comes out as symptoms. that’s because you’re telling your brain that something is wrong so you can actually get those symptoms. Those symptoms are not harmful when they are due to underlying anxiety.

Anxiety tends to create many symptoms in the nervous system such as the shaking or vibrating feeling in your whole body, tingling anywhere, headaches, you can even get pain anywhere in your body. there are actually many more symptoms that are possible. I think I’ve had every one.so it’s not the symptoms that are the problem, it’s the unmanaged anxiety that causes the symptoms.

The symptoms are there just to tell you that you need to take better care of yourself whether that means getting exercise, talking to a counselor, eating healthy, and especially lowering your stress level. That’s what my body was telling me.

You can have another MRI but I would not be surprised if everything was perfectly normal.

I also wanted to let you know that I am now in my 50s and doing well. It didn’t take me all this time to feel well . But it is a process and you have to be determined to get anxiety and stress under control.

i I suggest that you make an appointment with a counselor where you can discuss what is going on in your life and how you can better manage it. So yes, your symptoms are very common with anxiety and stress.

i Had to get tough with myself and be determined to do this. Besides having regular counseling appointments,. I also got help from motivational talks on YouTube. there’s also talks on anxiety, meditations for anxiety, etc.

once The doctors tell you that your scan is normal and your blood test are normal, that’s when you have to plunge forward and do things to improve the anxiety. you have to believe the results of the testing because going back over and over for reassurance is going to make you go backwards. you can do this. I actually had to get mad and be super determined!

Do you have a history of anxiety? I get internal tremors from anxiety and also if I have had too much to drink I get them...the next day or two.

The people giving you the MRIs can they give you something for anxiety in the meantime so you can see if it helps?
