Intimacy

I am 1 week post surgery. I had a full hysterectomy (left my ovaries) robotically. I know there cannot be anything inserted into the vagina for 8 weeks post op, but my question is how intimate can I get? Can I allow myself to orgasm through oral sex? I feel pretty good overall but really

miss this closeness with my husband! (And feel silly asking my doctor!) Thank you in advance!

If it was me I wouldn't touch myself down there even clitoral stimulation can cause muscles to contract in the vagina and other areas close by.

I would leave alone hun till after 6 weeks for yourself to heal. You dont want to disturb internal healing hunx

It’s best to let your body heal internally for 6-8 weeks, even through oral or other toys, just to avoid contractions do to stimulation.

Hello ,wow! Can’t believe you can even think about intimacy yet after 1 week😂I was also told not to do anything for at least 6 to 8 weeks and couldn’t even think about it? I have had a full hysterectomy removing everything and had a cut in the bikini line it took all my energy to do the basics like getting out of bed , walking etc in the first at least 6 weeks. I had talked to my partner previously so he knew not to pressure me. I even felt uncomfortable cuddling 😩As I found even when we did get back to it there was this dull almost like period pain in my pelvic area and it prevented me having pleasure. But does get better each time and now feeling a lot more confident. Maybe hang on a bit as you don’t want to get an infection as that will put your recovery back. Meanwhile take care and don’t over do it 🤭
