Since all the vaginal exams My daughter was afraid just regular liquid soft soap wasn't good enough for healing. I still have to go through the second bisopy because doctor didnt get enough tissue due to closed cervix we discuss that on Tuesday anyways my daughter bought me the "Vagisil Daily Intimte Wash" has PH Balance says it helps maintaine a healthy PH and it also contains LactoPrebiotic plus Aloe. I satred using it the other day. I wonder is it safe, would it cause hormone issues and cause bleeding or anything else. What kind of female wash is recommended and what does everyone else use and why? Please share if you will.

I read some article about issues using soap, and it said to just wash with water. My doctor had told me years ago to just use water as well. But at the time I wasn't really listening. After reading up on how to cleanse your genital area, I decided to try just water and have been happy doing so since. So yes, you can use just water, without any hormone disruptions.

Hmm I can't comphrend that I mean does that clean urine and smell and all? I would of never thought that and yes water alone would be safe for sure. So water where you wipe and then soap on outside? Sorry but this is totally news to me.

I must be behind the times...as I have never heard of such a thing...just water. I don’t know that I would feel clean.? I have always used soap and water in the shower, or tub. I have never had any issues. Years ago, I used some sort of vaginal wash, and broke out in a rash, it was awful. I went to my GYN, and he told me to never use anything like that, as we didn’t need to. I remember my Mom used to use white vinegar and and water as a “douche.” I think a lot of women her age did back then. Doc said all of that stuff messed up our ph balance, and to never use any kind of douche at all. Just plain Ivory Soap and water to wash our genital area, and that is all I have used ever since. I have since switched to the liquid form of Ivory Soap now, and I love it. It not only does not bother in our private areas, but it is good for our entire body, as it does not mess with the ph balance on any part of our skin. Plus, it can be used before surgery, as there are no perfumes in it.

I can't use soap, it messes up my ph balance and I don't like Ivory soap. I used to use lemon with water, but it's a nuisance in the shower. Now I just wash with with water as suggested by my doctor a while back. Doucheing with water is fine. I know of ladies who douche with water, whom are doctor's wives.

LOL I don't know! Doc did say, "if I felt I absolutly felt I needed to douche, to use just plain water." But to shower, or take a bath to just wash with soap like Ivory and water, and I have ever since. I've never had a issue with ph or anything like that. But, I do like the liquid Ivory much better than the bar...so creamy. I'm an Ivory girl! LOL

We have something here called Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap, made with no chemicals or harsh ingredients. I also use Kirks' castile soap. Neither are harsh nor contain Sodium chloride. I just prefer more natural types of ingredients over harsh otc types.

Thanks for sharing this "Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap" I'm going to see if amazon carries it and give it a try! I hope they have it in liquid if not the bar soap will do.

It comes in a liquid. Kirk's comes in a bar. You're quite welcome. I'm actually surprised they didn't block it usually they don't like brand names placed here. I guess having 5 stars helps
