HI.  My son is into his first 14 days.  His acne has gotten much worse and red..he is using moisterisers on his face.  Do you do that the first few weeks or after the acne goes away?  Im wondering if the lotion is causing the bad outbreak?  You said you had bad outbreak first 2 weeks too but it got better, were you puting lotion on your face at the time?

    Hi Sam,

I am on my day 7 on accutane and i have had breakouts, mainly around my mouth, i normally pop them because i hate them so much and it brings down my confidence, and was wondering if can pop them and also how long would it take for this break out to go and will it come back again

Hey Mia, this is Shaun. I am a few months into the medication and I would like to ask you not to pop them. If you pop them, it would leave scars, too deep and it would be difficult to remove them when you do processes to remove the scars. For me, I have some scars around my cheeks and my temple areas but they are not so severe. As I have done a facial before when I was young, this was the result, not good. So I cant emphasize this enough to ask you guys not to pop them as it would leave scars. My face has cleared up alot thanks to this medication and my parents would send me to remove my scars when I grow older after I finish education. Take care!

Hello guys.. i'm on my 7th day of accutane and on a 20 mg dosage. Lips and face just very slightly dry other then that i don't feel anything abnormal.. just scared reading abt the nose bleeds. Guys do you think the marks will fade too with accutane? Also can we use topical creams on the face to get rid of marks while on accutane?

last month i finished my roaccutane course, and i remember how red and tight and crazy dry my face was! i used E45 cream and intense E45 lotion, if your face is stinging i suggest aloe vera gel! it hurts but helps! always remember to carry some sort of lip balm around with you- you'll always need one, i found that, as my lips were cracked sore and used to bleed alot. but good luck! xxx trust me all this pain and effeort is worth it!

oh it's so amazing! It's hell whilst your on it but I promise you it's so worth it!????You won't regret it! Just keep going! sorry for the long reply!! My skin obviously gets a few pimples during the time of the month. But other than that it's clear! The scars I have are still there but barley visible (everyone says they can't see them- but me as myself can slightly) soon I am having abrasion to remove the final part of the scars! But it's amazing stuff I promise you that.
