How long have you been taking the 100mg of sertraline?
I suggest you go back to Your GP and have a chat about this.

Hi Chris, wondering if it's around the same time each day eg when sert running low in your system, or soon after taking it. I used to take mine at night, then had awful anxiety on waking til after lunchtime. Felt Ok by the evening. Til eventually i settled on 150 amd felt normal most of the time! how long have you been on it? for me it was an horrendous first 3 months, felt pretty good at 6 mths but after a year I'd put on so much weight that I changed to 20mg prozac, which at times I feel isn't quite enough!

oh and the intrusive thoughts...well mine were health anxiety related, i was having palpitations then panic attacks because i feared something wrong with heart! i went for cbt counselling which helped me identify triggers and adopt a more rational way of thinking when i had a heart flutter! also, busying myself with chores when anxiety was high. mindfulness helps...doing something that 'takes you out of your own head'...observing nature, go for a walk and observe the sky etc, watch tv, chat to a friend...anything that makes you forget your inner worries for a time. do more, think less!
