hey I think I replied to one of your discussions before and from what I remember you have increased from 10mg to 20mg and you been on 20mg about 6 weeks right? that's very important as you need to count your recovery from the increase only as it restarts everything again. I am on cit 20mg for 8 weeks. all I can tell you is that the intrusive thoughts are absolutely horrible and scary and make you feel like losing your mind and I had them since the start of cit. all I can say is that they do reduce I mean I still get them but not as extreme as it was during weeks 6 to 7. slowly you wont even notice how they start fading away. journey to recovery is long and it takes time. I know what you are feeling now is horrible but it will get better just keep going, dont increase just stay on this dose for longer.

i know what you mean, i still get them every now & then & what i do is put my logical head on & ignore them, the more you listen to them the more you ' fuel the fire' as they say.

How are you doing laura think i replied to you before. Sertraline is recommended for intrusive thoughts, mine were caused by zopiclone withdrawal. I had really awful depression and feeling of hopelessness last few days I've tried lowering the dise to 3/4 of a tablet and does seem to be easing a bit so think maybe dose was too high for me. You definitely aren't alone I've had these for 10months gradually got worse as result of zopiclone. I feel like i have no control over my brain anymore hopefully meds will soon start working for us both

No improvement so far, got lot worse for few days last week, but decreased dose to 3/4 of tablet and seems be improving. Citalopram made my hair fall out so had stop it. This time year makes things worse all the enforced jollity everywhere, if you aren'T feeling great makes it ver hard. Hope you soon improve, it does seem quite a common problem so you aren'T alone

Hope you are doing OK. The horrible depression definitely eased after dropping the dose 3 days ago think does seem to be slowly helping so I'll stay on 3/4 tablet. Hope things levelling out a bit for you anyway x
