Intrusive thoughts overcoming

Hey everyone so I see my pshyciatridt Tuesday and I'm working with a naturopathic doc and nutrionist also. So I've been recommended to re visit him. Anyways I'm not leading towards any sort of anti depressents and I cannot afford therapy as I'm laid off. So has anyone found anything that has helped them over come there thoughts that mabey my pshyciatridt could prescribe to me. Diet,excersise,natural supplements?

All I can advise on top of what you are trying is Diversions, like hobbies or other distractions.
Exercise will work for some, I used to swim thirty five lengths three times a week and also go 50/50 Dancing, Pop Dancing and old time once a week, I was also doing Youth Work before my Health took a wobbler, like now.
Today has been rotten today so I have been on my Laptop and watching Television, also been looking at some picture books on where we are going on holiday this summer. So have been able to distract my mood, However will not remember what I have been up to tomorrow

That's what I mean I really don't want to lean towards anti depressents . But I guess by eliminating anxiety the thoughts will slowly disolve
