i had iron infusion of 1500mg for ferretin being very low . i had infusion just about two weeks ago and now ferretin has skyrocketed to 530ng/ml. My gastroentologist said that it will come down slowly and to recheck my iron levels in a month. I've read that iron overload can cause serious damages to organs. Has anyone with iron infusion experienced similar high ferretin levels and what did you do ?
