Iron Infusions

Has anyone been given iron infusions for CFS and did they help? My specialist has recommended that I do this so just wondering what other peoples experiences have been. I know that it will vary for everyone and may not be applicable for some but just curious.

I couldn't have this as my iron levels are high, although i do not have haemochromotosis. My B12 is 1200 and my vitamin D3 is 134. So where i can see the point of view that low iron, low B12 and even D3 can be attributed to CFS in my case it's something else entirely.

I've never heard of iron infusions. A nutritionist I saw gave me B12 shots. They helped a few times only.

      Hi Jackie,

How long were you on those for? I've been doing bi-weekly B12 jabs for about four weeks now...haven't really noticed too much change there.

Chonny: It was a pretty long time ago that I did the B12, but I tried it over a few months. There are three types of B12, and if one type doesn't work for you, you should try the other types.  One type, for instance, is methylcobalamin. You can use Google to see the three types.
