wanting some advice just started in iron tablets for first time and side effects are not that good having worse taste in my mouth is this normal? as well as contest headaches cant eat anything thank you

ive been on those for a while myself over the last 4 years.
the taste does go after a few weeks.
i always have mine with apple juice and then wait 20 minutes and drink a pint of water. dont take anything else before it and wait 45-60 minutes after to eat.
worked for me but sadly never made much difference to my numbers
