Iron problems after resection.

Hi everyone. I've had a resection, iliostomy, and reversal due to diverticulitis. Some of you will have read my posts. Had appendectomy due to adhesions in November as well. I had an iron infusion just after my reversal due to very low ferritin. Pretty sure I've got low levels again. Lots of anaemia symptoms. Had blood test this morn. Just wondering has anyone else had this problem after bowel resection. I thought i would be fine after the first infusion. I am wondering if this is a problem when you are missing part of the bowel. The best people to ask are the people who have had this done.
