i have been treating my Anal fissure for 3 weeks with rectogesic ointment two times a day and it is starting to heal and i have slso been taking fybogel once a day. i have been in the meanwhile found to be anemic and im bedbound for past two weeks and i have been asked by my doctor to take iron tablets three times a day for one month to build up iron.Taking iron tablets leads to constipation so u have been drunking lots more water and adding more fiber foods. anyone managed not getting constipated while taking iron supplementation..Your deedback is welcome..I am fighting my fatigue and the anal fissure so not easy time now for me

take magnesium citrate/oxide daily (no more than 375mg per day), it really helps loosen the stool and make it come out with ease and you can use it long term as long as you don't go over the recommended dosage. also ask your doc whether you can take a lower dosage of iron until the fissure has healed, i.e. one iron tablet a day instead of three.
