Irregular heart rythym after SVT ablation?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had my ablation done 3days ago for SVT. I know that it takes a bit to restore regular rhythm but I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's normal for the heart to get real weak when you lay down. Last night when I toured to go to bed it hurt and my pulse got real weak and I had shortness of breath with it. When I'd sit up it come back to strong pulse then happen all over again and again. I ended up sitting up most the night. Anyone go threw this?

Hi. It might be just part of the healing process, but I think if I were you I would discuss it with a doctor just in case.

Hope it all works out well for you.

Always keep your doctor in the loop! My daughter was diagnosed with SVT and had the ablation. She had premature atrial contractions PAC and premature ventricle contractions. PVC. She swore her heart wasn't even beating many times. It was it was super weak. We tried a heart monitor again after 6 months of healing but she could only wear it for 3 days because she was allergic to the adhesive pads. The doctor said it could just be anxiety. Still having weird episodes so I read on this site about a Tilt Table Test. It's been 10 moths since the ablation and she has episodes a lot. She called the doctor and said something isn't right my mom wants you to do a TTT. He said great idea. She just called me and said she still has SVT. All of this was validated with an inexpensive, unevasive test! So if after your healing time if something isn't right.....get a TTT. The ablation didn't work all the way but her heart rate jumps from 66 to 140. It use to be 240. So it helped. We will see what doc suggests. I pray yours was a success!
