Hi so i suffer with quite severe anxiety but lately over this last week my heart palpitations have been constant skipping a beat throughout the day mainly when im lying or sitting down i feel the flutter in my throat. Is it normal for anxiety to cause palpitations 24/7? thanks also does anyone have same problem?:)

if everything was normal with the ecg then its most likely nothing wrong with your heart but rather anxiety causing it. i know its difficult but try to distract yourself and you wont notice them as much.

yes Jordan it is very common for people with anxiety to have palpitations all day long. That has happened to me as well as millions of other people who suffer from anxiety.
the palpitations are a result of adrenaline being released in response to your anxiety. it can cause a rapid heart beat, skipped beats, fluttering. I have had that on and off for years but I know it’s related to my anxiety and not harmful.
but I do always recommend that everyone gets a complete physical at least once a year for peace of mind.
try to relax your mind as much as you can to decrease the symptom. If you tell yourself that you are worried then the symptoms will continue. So, do things that relax your mind. You can go for a walk, , Listen to relaxing music, listen to some great meditations for anxiety on YouTube. I do this every night when laying down to sleep. Practice proper breathing when you feel anxious. You can also find this on YouTube.
if there are some life issues causing you stress, it helps to talk to a counselor.
take care❤
