Irregular heartbeat

I've had mono since June 2019. While i feel so much better than I did during my worst I still have quite a few lingering symptoms. Brain fog has never completely left and I still have muscle twitches and weakness. And for the last year I had an irregular heartbeat which concerns me, it skips frequently but seems to be worse after i eat. Anyone else have this issue?

Hey man,
wondering how things are going for ya? Seeing any incremental improvements? Ive been at a pretty much 90 percent plateau for awhile now, mostly healthy but with a few lingering after effects.

Thanks for your response. I feel decent, I'd say also about at a 90 percent plateau. Can't quite shake the brain fog and lightheadedness but its a lot better than it was at first. Was at the doctor last week and I'll need to see a cardiologist again. Had a holter monitor about a year ago and it came back clear.

Im getting more good days, but idea of living life like before seems so distant. even when I feel completely normal, I know I cant do anything i want. Other than that Im finishing university and applying for some work positions so Ill see how that goes.

Hey there,
I had symptoms early on of my heart racing, I wore a holter monitor for a week and had normal results from that. I cant speak for whats going on for you but for me it appears my heart is healthy based on their tests. I definitely would get symptoms more after eating, it seems like the load of digesting food taxes the body further when its trying to deal with the viral thing. what helps me is when i eat smaller meals and stop before im stuffed. also the healthier the food the better.

yep still have the occasional muscle twitch and my heart does weird stuff from time to time, but after four years I've learned the more I worry about it the worse it is. It took me along time to learn how to think about how good I feel instead of how bad I feel. I know you don't want to hear this but it's the best advise I got when at my worst is this: Most of it's in your head and once you figure out how to overcome that your journey is down hill from there. With that said it's not easy but once you're on the other side you can't help but look back and feel like a badass. On the personal side of it prayer and meditation is how I made it through the day to day.
